Case study no' 2
Mrs
Brown approaching retirement requested a financial
review with us, it transpired through fact find
probing with the client that she had worked for
her former company for many years, leaving sometime
ago when the company was sold.
Our
adviser took all of Mrs Brown's details, including
date of birth, national insurance number and the
approximate dates she worked for the company.
By tracing the clients pension our adviser was
able to establish that Mrs Brown had indeed once
participated in the company pension scheme that
existed at the time of her employment with her
former company. Searches were made through the
tracing service and were able to establish that
the new owners took over the pension scheme; our
clients name appeared as a past employee and as
a result was entitled to a pension amount based
on her time with her former company.
Mrs
Brown was delighted as was her husband who would
also benefit from the uncovered Pension Scheme
if Mrs Brown was to pass away, receiving a 50%
widowers pension. Let our advisers dig deep into
your past employment, letting them do the hard
work of tracing any past pension schemes lying
unclaimed and dormant which you're entitled to
you.
